About E St

We are a tight-knit community made up of several families in Northeast D.C. Kids play together, adults hold cookouts, and we all share what little we have with each other. Some neighbors have been living on the 1600 block of E St for many years.

While the area is changing – it once had a violent past – many of the residents are still low-income families. These are the people who have been here, and these are the people who deserve to benefit from positive changes. The gardening projects, arts and crafts, and events we hold are all for the kids here who often don’t have access to the same resources as other neighborhoods.

We’ve been featured in Hill Now, Frozen Tropics and The Hill is Home.
